Abel Super Series Fly Reels
The large arbor, quick retrieve reels within the Abel
Super Series are to standard Abel fly reels as the CD
is to your old phonograph. Reels are ported and ventilated
using a "rounded oblong" design that maintains
total strength and rigidity in the metal. They are lighter,
The weight reduction was accomplished by intense machining,
with parts literally trimmed to the bone, yet retaining
all of Abel's traditional integrity.
Super Series spools are
100% interchangeable with spools of comparable-sized standard
Abel Big Game Reels. Essentially, this (InterchangeABELity)
allows you the flexibility to
create two totally different reels with different line
capacities for the price of a "reel-and-a-half".
