Winston Boron IIx Fly Rods
Winston's new fast action Boron IIx rods are unlike anything
you've ever fished. Featuring the next generation of high-modulus
boron/graphite composite, they're powerful, responsive,
very accurate, and have the widest casting range of any
Winton rod offered; you can delicately present flies at
25 feet or make extremely long casts of 100 feet. Up to
now, this has been unheard of in fast-action rods. They're
also close to a full ounce lighter than any comparable
weight models on the market. All unnecessary weight has
been eliminated from the ferrules, the rods have titanium
guides and, on some models, a new graphite reel seat.
These rods redefine the fast-action category.
Winston Boron IIx Two-Handed Spey Rods
Winston's Two-Handed (Spey) rods are designed to meet
the special requirements of steelhead and salmon anglers.
Namely, covering lots of water, making precise mends and
casting considerable distances. Winston worked closely
with technical advisor Andre Scholz, who is one of the
leading fly casters in the world, and developed two additional
Boron IIx rods, a 13' 3" 7/8-weight and a 15' 10-weight.
Made with second-generation boron/graphite composite,
these Spey rods offer extraordinary power, responsiveness
and accuracy. Extremely lightweight, you’ll find
these rods to be a pleasure to cast all day.
